A Strong Work Ethic And Compassion To Help You Achieve Your Goals

A Local Attorney With A Local Work Ethic

I am Denise C. Pekelnicky, I was born and raised in North East, Pennsylvania, and now reside in Harborcreek with my husband and two adult children. I graduated from North East High School and attended college at Penn State Behrend in Erie, where I graduated with high distinction with a degree in business economics and a minor in management.

Upon graduating from Penn State, I began working at Erie Insurance. I left Erie Insurance in 2007 to attend law school as a second career. While I was at Erie Insurance, I earned my Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designations along with several other insurance designations. I also went through a pretty awful divorce. I met a great partner, and he encouraged me to attend law school.

I attended Case Western Reserve University for law school and graduated third in my class with the honors of magna cum laude and Order of the Coif. I decided to attend law school to attain a dream. While I had anticipated attending law school directly out of college, family considerations dictated otherwise.

When I graduated, I clerked and then worked for a firm before heading out on my own, which I loved. I worked again for Erie Insurance as in-house counsel and in its regulatory data role before deciding to go back into practice. I have always approached the practice of law as a career.

Practicing Law Is A Passion For Me

Practicing law was a dream put on hold, but eventually, through hard work and dedication, I obtained it. I believe that every person’s needs are unique and that every person has a story, just like me. I never judge a book by its cover, and, therefore, I want to allow each person the opportunity to know me. I understand that everyone has a journey and a story and, like my journey to becoming a lawyer, has encountered successes and pitfalls along the way. I feel that it is those pitfalls and successes that allow me to be a dedicated, compassionate and professional attorney.

I Am Not A Typical Attorney

I treat each client how I would want my mother to be treated, should she walk into my practice. Having worked for an insurance company and in other jobs, including babysitting since I was 12 years old, I bring a strong work ethic and compassion to all my clients. When you are seeking an attorney who will provide the legal advocacy you are seeking for your family law, estate planning, business law, real estate and other legal matters, call my office in North East at 814-913-7274 to schedule a consultation.
